Chirun produces flexible and accessible notes, in a variety of formats, using LaTeX or Markdown source. It is particularly suited to STEM subjects, but is applicable to anyone who uses LaTeX. The tool integrates with Blackboard opens a new window and can be accessed from the Content Market. Dedicated support for Chirun is provided by the Science Digital Learning Developers opens a new window. This open-source tool has been developed by the Digital Learning Unit at Newcastle University.
