A previous limitation of Chirun was that LaTeX packages containing an entire module’s worth of lecture notes were broken down with individual PDFs. Feedback we received was that – while the HTML versions are far more accessible – some students asked for a single PDF document upon which they could make annotations. The developers at Newcastle University agreed that this would be a good feature to include and therefore build it into Chirun.
So, how do I create a single PDF for my entire lecture notes?
For new notes, this will build automatically. If you have existing notes that you want to add this feature to, you simply need to open the Chirun package in the Manage Package (editor) page, click Configure, then save to trigger an automatic rebuild with the single PDF option included. You may need to refresh your browser tab before the new PDF icon appears.
