A tool that can support flipping the classroom or full online learning. Staff share a video for students to discuss, answer practice questions and/or collaborate on discussion topics.
This video explains how (and why) you might want to create an interactive video

Teachers love using in-class time to dive deeper into concepts within study material, but the reality is they often have to explain basic concepts to avoid losing students. This is why some educators get excited about the idea of ‘flipping the classroom’. Where previously knowledge transfer happened in class, with the flipped classroom model the students can learn whenever and wherever they like. But more importantly, it allows students to pace their own learning, as material can be skipped or repeated as needed.
This solidifies understanding so they come to class prepared to practice deeper applications. But for this to work, students need to actively engage with the material prior to class. When shifting this learning outside the classroom, how can instructors gain insight into students’ engagement, determine their level of understanding, or see where they have questions with the material? Interactive video helps to ensure that these preconditions are met.
You can enrich a video with questions and discussion threads, helping students develop deeper understanding and think critically about the content. At the same time, students have the ability to interact with and help each other, learning from each other’s answers, explaining concepts to each other, and sharing their perspectives. With the power of collaboration, the shift happens from passive to active learning. And with such prepared students coming to class, you as an instructor can now personalise your teaching, using classroom time for activities like guiding problem solving, explaining more difficult cases, and helping the students that actually need extra attention. A much more effective and fun use of your time.
