This is how the team-based learning tool looks as a student. Here, I can complete the individual and team tests as two steps in the wider team-based learning process.
First, let’s read the instructions and look at our group. I can see the group number as well as the group members’ names here.
Next up is the individual test. I can press ‘Start Quiz’ to get going, selecting my answers to the questions as they appear and pressing ‘Submit’ to continue. Or ‘Don’t know’ if I’m not sure. I can retake this individual test as many times as I like. At this point, I won’t see any correct answers or scores. After completing that step, it’s time for the group test.
The first group member to open the test becomes the team leader and pressing ‘Start’ will begin the team test. As I submit answers, other members of the group can see how we responded. If the answer is correct, our team receives 100% of the points for the question. If it’s incorrect, we can try again until we find the correct answer. We can continue through the quiz until it’s complete, after which we can see our performance displayed down below. And that’s it!
