The Peer Review tool in FeedbackFruits allows students to provide feedback on their peers’ submission (i.e. documents or videos) based on predefined criteria. Students can also self-assess their own submission and the platform supports both graded and non-graded assignments for individual and group-based peer review activities.
This guide provides a video walk through and links Peer Review set up for instructors.
The set up in split into the following steps:
- Step 1: Instructions – add instructions and select collaboration options for students hand-in and students evaluation
- Step 2: Submissions – configure required number of files to hand in, schedule deadlines, set file requirements, anonymity
- Step 3: Given Reviews – configure feedback criteria, required number of groups to review, self-assessment option, allocations etc.
- Step 4: Received Reviews – set if student are allowed to rate reviewer’s feedback
- Step 5: Reflect on Activity – (optional) students to reflect on the task
- Step 6: Grading – (if any) add grading criteria

Setting up Peer Review in Blackboard
- In Blackboard, navigate to the place you wish to create the activity/assessment, this may be in a folder or learning module such as Assessment. Select the + icon, and from the pop-up select Content Market.
- Select the FeedbackFruits tile, and press Start from scratch. (Once you have created a peer review assignment this will be available under ‘Past activities’).
- Select the Peer Review tool.
