Finding your Profile

After logging in to Blackboard, you should see a link displaying your name on the left hand side, in the black menu.

The Profile Page in Learn ultra shows details about yourself, including a photo and two columns of information. It is accessed by selecting the entry with your name on in the black navigation menu that runs down the left of the screen.
The contents of some fields have been obscured as this is a public website 🙂

What can you edit?

Some fields are fed automatically from your student record, so these can’t be changed here. As a student you can change:

  • Your profile Image
  • Any additional name (if fed from Student Records)
  • add a phonetic pronunciation guide for your name
  • Record yourself saying your name
  • Select personal pronouns

Your profile is the place to edit information attached to your persona. In the list where your name appears, select your name to access your profile. Your institution decides what you can customise. To edit parts of your profile, select the pencil icon next to one of the profile information types. Here you can change basic information like your display name, pronunciation, pronouns and additional information. You can also customise you language, privacy, and global notification settings. And finally, to add or change your profile picture, point to the picture and select the pencil icon. In the panel, select Upload new profile picture to browse for your picture on your computer. Or, you can drag a file to the Upload area. Your profile picture appears next to your activity throughout courses such as discussions, conversations, and messages and on your profile page.
